Any product is sensitive to good use and maintenance. Therefore, DOMO would like to remind the end customer of the following recommendations to extend the longevity of DOMO window and door systems.
Remember that the weather (sudden changes in temperature, solar radiation,...) and the misuse of each window and door system shorten the service life.

Therefore, we have to take into account the following aspects:

• ✅ General cleaning of windows and doors: It is important to keep our windows clean at least once a month. We always have to use water and neutral soap, not abrasive, using a soft cloth. Rinse with abundant water avoiding soap residues and above all drying with an absorbent cloth the humidity in the interior parts of the window.
• ✅ Maintenance of sealing joints: The sealing and glazing gaskets (rubbers) should be cleaned with water and neutral soap once a month. This will prevent them from drying out and allow them to have a longer service life.
• ✅ Greasing of the hardware: Every DOMO system of casement, sliding, lift-and-slide, tilt-and-turn, tilt-and-turn,... the hardware is an essential element. Thanks to the hardware, the window supports the weight, guarantees the tightness and above all the daily use and functionality of the end user.
• ✅ Clean and grease all metallic elements and moving parts (frame and leaf hardware), using acid-free oils at least twice a year. Consult which is the best option on the market.

Other tips to keep windows in perfect condition are:

• ✅ Do not apply loads on the window sash when it is open..
• ✅ On sliding shutters, vacuum the lower frame guide channels.
• ✅ Always keep drains and aeration slots clean.
